Collection Statement

The City of Casey (Council) collects your personal information through this application form to assess your eligibility for grant funding and inclusion in the Ageing Positively Festival. Information is collected with your consent, unless otherwise required or permitted by law under the Privacy Act.

Your information will be used to confirm eligibility, support assessment processes, and allocate funding. It may be shared internally with relevant Council departments to assist with assessment and to maintain your funding record.

General (non-personal) information, such as applicant name, project details and funding amounts, may be published on the City of Casey website, in the Ageing Positively Festival, and in Council publications and reports.

You can request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting Council on 9705 5200. Council is not responsible for any misuse of information once it has been provided.

Event Criteria

  • Plan and deliver a new event during October 2026 (something a little different from your usual program)
  • Hold the event within the City of Casey
  • Make sure your event feels safe, welcoming and accessible for Casey residents aged 55 years and over
  • Offer your event for free or keep costs low where you can
  • Open your event to everyone in the community, not just current members
  • Align with the festival theme: CONNECT CREATE CELEBRATE

Funding information

Eligible organisations may apply for a $300 grant to support their Ageing Positively Festival event. Funding must be used for costs directly associated with the event, with only one allocation available per organisation. There is a limited pool of funding available. Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must:

  • Be a not-for-profit community organisation
  • Be non-political
  • Hold current public liability insurance
  • Hold an Australian Business Number. If your organisation isn't incorporated and not registered as a not-for-profit legal entity, you will require an auspice who is one or both of those things.
  • Have no outstanding evaluation forms from previous festivals (applications with outstanding forms will not be considered)
